This generation needs your touch,
A visitation of the Holy.
Adrift without a guiding compass,
We need an anchor to hold us firm.
So to your Holy Word we turn
To meditate and commit to memory.
As your Spirit illumines your Word,
We live it out in Jesus Christ's honor.
With new eyes we see, and
With new ears we hear, and
With new minds we think, and
With new hearts we love
More like Jesus Christ
In a daily journey of growth,
Putting off the old,
Being transformed to the new.
More like Jesus Christ,
His character formed in us,
Forgetting what is past,
Beholding the cross we now must bear
For Jesus Christ.
